To mark this 10th Anniversary year, Music at Stow is proud to present a very special show dedicated to the Motown Sound of the 1960's, which will have you tapping your feet and singing along, in what promises to be an unforgetable evening of pure soul nostalgia that is not to be missed. We are extremely grateful to a 'local friend' without whose generous sponsorship this evening would have not been possible.
Soul Family’s ‘Motown and More’ is the defining sound of 1960s pop, RnB and soul music. The band have spent years perfecting the driving bass-lines, pounding rhythms, soaring brass lines, and gospel-inflected vocals.
The show featuring vocalists Natalie Williams, Tony Momrelle and Imaani, pays tribute to some of the great artists that have recorded on Motown Records. They will be playing a selection of some of the best songs to come out of the Motown era, featuring the music of Smokey Robinson, Martha and The Vandellas, Gladys Knight, Marvin Gaye, The Supremes, The Jackson 5 and of course Stevie Wonder.
