Our Privacy Policy & GDPR

Though no longer in the European Union, we would like to make you aware that our privacy policy continues to be aligned with The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)          (Regulation (EU) 2016/679)

In order to comply with new data protection laws which came into force on May 25 2018, and to follow the Information Commissioner Office’s recommendation for our/your own data security, we, Music at Stow will only be able to send you concert information if we have received your consent, by which we mean you must have “opted in”.

What information do we collect?

We store  personal information which in the past you have consented to share with us. Such information could include your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address. This may be held in by cloud services which we employ to assist us with our promotional activities. This currently includes mailchimp.com through which we are able to circulate publicity information to you, our subscribers.

With whom will we share this information?

We only use this information for our own publicity purposes, for which you have given us consent, and it is never shared for commercial gain, with any third-party organisations.

Payment details

At present we do not directly handle electronic payments as this is done by the web site ticketsource.com who will have their own privacy & data policy. Nor do we keep records of any individual cash or cheque payments.

How do we process this information, and what do we use it for?

We only send you details relating to concerts & events arranged and organised by Music at Stow. We use these details in a number of ways. Firstly to send to you publicity relating to our concerts. For this, we would normally send the information to you by e-mail. We may ask for your postal address, to be used if the e-mail address you have given us is rejected or is not legible. If you do not provide us with an e-mail address, and we have your postal address, we will send the information to you through the postal system.

 

We may also post information to you when we have information in hard copy. We need your full name together with e-mail address so that we may send you the information you originally signed up for. If you provide us with your telephone number we would only use it in the event of a cancellation of an event or if we have a problem with your e-mail or postal address. It is your own choice whether you provide any of the information we request. If, for any reason, you wish all or part of your information to be amended or removed from the mailing list, simply contact us at any time, and we will take the necessary action.

How long do we keep your personal data?

We will keep this information as long as it is current, taking into account any amendments/deletions you suggest. It is our intention, and obligation, to keep this information as accurate as possible.

What rights do you have to access, change or remove your personal information?

You have the right to request a copy of the information we hold on you, and the right to access, amend or request the removal and absolute deletion of this personal information at any time, and Music at Stow, for our part, shall endeavour to protect and maintain the accuracy and privacy of your information held solely on our own storage systems.
